Giới Thiệu
Nhạc sĩ Phạm Duy dường như đã nói lên tiếng lòng của muôn triệu người dân Việt qua bài hát “Tình Ca”: “Tôi yêu tiếng nước tôi, từ khi mới ra đời, người ơi. Mẹ hiền ru những câu xa vời… Tiếng nước tôi! Tiếng mẹ sinh từ lúc nằm nôi. Thoắt nghìn năm thành tiếng lòng tôi, nước ơi… Tôi yêu biết bao người Lý, Lê, Trần… và còn ai nữa. Những anh hùng của thời xa xưa. Những anh hùng của một ngày mai.”
Thật vậy, người Việt Nam mang nặng tình yêu và hoài bão cho tương lai của dân tộc Việt, vẫn chắt chiu giữ gìn tiếng nói của đất nước mình. Như lời Phạm Quỳnh từng viết: “Tiếng Việt còn, nước Việt còn; nước Việt còn, tiếng Việt còn.” Ngày nay nhiều người trong thế hệ người Việt thứ hai, thứ ba… trưởng thành ở hải ngoại đã không còn nói được tiếng Việt.
Vì thế, chúng ta cần dạy cho thế hệ hậu sinh của chúng ta nói được tiếng Việt, hiểu được văn hóa, lịch sử của người dân Việt. Con cháu người Việt cần trân trọng tiếng Việt vì đây là chiếc cầu nối liền giữa họ và quê hương Việt Nam, giữa họ và cộng đồng, đặc biệt giữa họ với ông bà, cha mẹ và những người thân, trong cùng một gia đình.
Hội Thánh Tin Lành chúng tôi tọa lạc ở thành phố Garden Grove, một trong những thành phố có đông đảo người Việt sinh sống. Chúng tôi không chỉ quan tâm gây dựng đời sống tâm linh của các tín hữu trong hội thánh, nhưng cũng quan tâm đến đời sống tinh thần của cộng đồng người Việt và muốn đóng góp một phần trách nhiệm của hội thánh với xã hội, với cộng đồng.

Introduction
The late Vietnamese composer Phạm Duy expressed the deep love that countless Vietnamese people hold for their mother tongue in his song “Tình Ca”: “I love the language of my homeland from the moment I was born.” His words capture a profound truth—the Vietnamese language is more than a means of communication; it carries the voice, memories, and identity of a people.
For generations, Vietnamese people have cherished and preserved their language as a connection to their homeland and heritage. As Phạm Quỳnh famously expressed: “As long as the Vietnamese language remains, Vietnam remains; and as long as Vietnam remains, the Vietnamese language remains.” Yet today, many Vietnamese Americans of the second, third, and subsequent generations who have grown up abroad no longer speak Vietnamese fluently.
For this reason, we believe it is important to pass the Vietnamese language on to future generations and help them understand the rich culture and history of the Vietnamese people. For Vietnamese children growing up abroad, the language serves as a bridge—not only to Vietnam and the Vietnamese community, but also to their parents, grandparents, and loved ones. Preserving Vietnamese helps strengthen these family connections and allows younger generations to better understand and appreciate their heritage.
Located in Garden Grove, California, one of the communities with a large Vietnamese population, our ministry seeks to serve not only the spiritual needs of our congregation but also the cultural and educational needs of the Vietnamese community around us. We believe our ministry has a responsibility to contribute to the well-being of our broader community and to preserve the heritage that connects generations.
It is in this spirit of service and commitment that the Vietnamese Language Ministry was established.
